Summertime
Ah, the joys of summer! Black raspberry lemonade and pretty roses from a wedding I did the flowers for. (More on that at a later time.)
Church in the park with Pastor Bill B.
Sister-in-law Betty and her grandbaby Natalia sing the hymns.

For The Beauty of the Earth
Today's Postcards from God, who daily amazes me with the beauty of His earth.
Original Text of 1864
for the beauty of the skies,
for the love which from our birth
over and around us lies,
Refrain:
Christ our God, to thee we raise
this our sacrifice of praise.
of the day and of the night,
hill and vale, and tree and flower,
sun and moon, and stars of light,
Refrain
For the joy of ear and eye, for the heart and brain's delight,
for the mystic harmony
linking sense to sound and sight,
Refrain
For the joy of human love, brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth, and friends above,
for all gentle thoughts and mild,
Refrain
For each perfect gift of thine to our race so freely given,
graces human and divine,
flowers of earth and buds of heaven,
Refrain
Folliot Pierpoint, 1864
Cody, WY to Yellowstone
We stayed in Cody, WY for a couple of nights and drove in and out of Yellowstone from there. Not sure what this building on a high hill was, but it was cool.
Scenic overlook. We crossed the continental divide several times in the way there and back. Most of these rocky pictures are by W.

Old Faithful
We ate lunch and waited on the lodge porch for Old Faithful to do its thing.
Juliette the (stuffed animal) bird helped W. watch and wait.
We took a short walk on the trails around the park. It was too hot for long forays.
Our timing was good. This nearby geyser that only goes about twice a day went shortly after Old Faithful. You can see the lodge and Old Faithful steaming in the background of the picture above.
