Daddy promised a tree fort and it is finally done today! It is not exactly a TREE fort, though. The girls are unanimous in the opinion that it is much better than a tree house.
Above: Pictures of the fort in progress. Below: Final touches and some "cooking" activity in the fort.
I always wanted a fort like that(as a matter of fact when we drive in the country and I see those structures my mind starts getting creative!) Do you remember the one with a similar size and shape at Dennis the Menace Park? K. is a good Dad and awesome fort builder!
It took more than a day(!), but it is rather nice. After he got started it evolved. He used treated wood, etc, so it cost a "couple" $$ too, but it should last pretty well. You can check it out on Sat!
WHAT A TREE HOUSE! I didn't show it to the boys, but they will be excited to see it. They will think that their dad should make one too. . . the thing like that here is in the pasture. . . maybe too far off with cows and a bull etc. Well, when you have a couple hours to talk, let me know. I'm sure the boys will love to play at the elevated Swiss Family bin house! -Sheila (via e-mail)

ReplyDeleteThat is the most awesome tree-fort-minus-the-tree I have ever seen. I want one
ReplyDeleteThis looks incredible? May I borrow your husband for a day? I have a poured-concrete silo needing creative ideas... LOL
