I am trying a new gift wrapping technique this year. I have been packaging gifts in pretty thrifted tins and decorated Christmas boxes. Usually they cost between 25 cents and a dollar. They are pretty cheap and re-usable like the gift bags I have loved so well the last several years, and the money is going to charity, so that is win-win. To mark them, I use a piece of regular tape. I fold under a thin edge-sticky side together-and stick the rest onto the tin. Then I write on the tape with marker. The fold under edge works as a grip strip and makes it easy to peel off when you want to re-use the tin.
