Parents-vs-Kids

Second annual family camp ultimate frisbee game between the parents and kids. It was a spirited game, but eventually had to be called. The parents had too much attrition due to injuries (knees, achilles tendons, etc.) We gave them a run for their money, but the age is beginning to show!










Volleyball is more the Parents' game. Easier on the knees! We discovered last year that the teens hadn't played much volleyball (gap in their education!) so it is much easier for us to win.







Great fun at family camp! (I say "we" loosely. I did not actually physically participate in any of the exercise portions of the games. Someone has to take photos!)

Homeschool Family Camp

We went to our homeschool co-op family camp this last weekend. Lots of fun with great friends! It is one of our "favorite things" of the whole year.

This playground toy provides a classic photo op every year.

Bikes and scooters got constant use on the trails between cabins.

Wherever you go, whatever you do, there are friends to do it with. That's the beauty of camp!

Piano Starts

W. was so excited to start piano this year. Yesterday was her first lesson.

Our teacher Nancy's little dog, Denver, was so happy to see the kids coming through for lessons again. He loves the attention and misses everyone over the summer break. He was in heaven having his tummy rubbed.

The O's

These great pictures of the O's are from their mom. I had her send them to me after seeing them on her computer after our zoo day last week. We have had the kids about once a week this summer. It is such a good thing for the cousins to be together, and it gives my sister and I a chance to say "hello" once a week. I love these pictures: Miss O. having a (darling, cute) moment, and handsome O. on his first day of school. When did he get so old?????
