Christmas Eve

Star Wars

We took the kids to the new Star Wars when it came out. We watched the first one (number 4) the week before on our old VCR. W. had not seen any of them yet. It had bee about 35 years since Husband and I had seen the first one in high school.

Husband and I went early to secure seats. We had a little supper out first. Just like we did in high school.

Cathedral Christmas

We enjoyed our local cathedral's beauty before Christmas while attending their yearly gift to the community-Christmas at the Cathedral.

We have done this several years-the last few with brother and sister-in-law Brian and Dena.

I love the old fixtures and beautifully restored walls and ceiling.

They used various lighting during the program which highlighted the altar's beauty.

Bonus: There was an exhibit of the St. John's Bible in the basement. I had forgotten it was going to be in town, and was thrilled to discover it down there. The St. John's Bible is the first handwritten, illuminated Bible commissioned in 500 years. http://www.saintjohnsbible.org/
