Wedding Rehersal! May 2018

I have gotten behind in my blogging and have been working toward catching up. Now we will slow down and prepare for lots of posts with lots of photos of our lovely wedding celebration last May!

Wedding Prep-Reception Tables

May was the month of Laura and Bret's wedding. Grandma G noted it on her calendar.

A month before the wedding we ordered some succulent plants from an Etsy company and had a little planting party. The plants were full sized cuttings and came packed in small boxes. When we opended them it was like opening jewelry-lots of oooh's and aaah's! We made terrariums in glass containers that I found at thrift stores, and used them for table decorations at the wedding reception. We had helpers/friends take the finished terrariums home after the reception as thank you gifts.

We included a personalized rock (that I had fun making!) in each terrarium to add a little fun.

Peter Frampton-Steve Miller Band

In April we went to see Peter Frampton and the Steve Miller Band with our concert buddies. Steve Miller was our favorite!

This and That, Spring

W and Friend A and I spent lots of hours in the car together her sophomore year driving to classes. We had a good time together and had fun eating lunch out sometimes.

Summer always brings pregnant momma kitties and kittens. We enjoy lots of kitty therapy on the deck.

Horticulture Internship

M moved to Mitchell for the summer and worked an internship at a greenhouse there. Friend Ann helped with the move up.

They provided a cute apartment for her.

Husband spent a bunch of time earlier this year giving interviews about the China Trade Embargo and the impact it had on soybean exports.
