(http://artteajannell.blogspot.com/2011/09/color-art-blown-away.html) This was one of my most successful projects. The results were better than I expected. I told the kids that we were going to imagine that we were looking at a crayon very close up. We made a circle with our thumb and finger to frame a section of a crayon, the tried to translate that to a page. They could do any section of the crayon they chose, and could arrange it on the page any way they wished, as long as it was a large "close-up" of it. They could use any color they wanted. They drew with pencil, copied over with black marker and colored in with crayons. Very simple, very successful!

Crayons Up Close
This project turned out to be a real success. I made it up to fill time while kids waited for the glue gun and blow dryer when we did our crayon drip project.
