Cardboard Christmas Ornaments

I have been having a lot of fun making cardboard Christmas ornaments. I load reference photos on my phone or device, sit in my well-lighted chair and sketch out little houses on cardboard. After I get the design figured out, I use a water based white permanent marker in extra fine tip to finish. I like pizza boxes as the right weight for this. They cut easily with a scissor.
I went through different stages and ideas.

At one point I got into Hobbit houses.

There were a few gingerbread houses.

And some barns. Lots of fun.

 A little Dr. Seuss.
My first efforts were a little clunky. They improved after  I got an extra fine tipped pen.

Thanksgiving II

The day after Thanksgiving, we headed to Lake Michigan to see it!

It was a windy, coldish day.

Instead of snow drifts, we had sand drifts.

We also got to celebrate a 13th birthday.

Thanksgiving

We drove to MI to my cousin's house for Thanksgiving. Long drive, but totally worth it is see their new home and have some "hang out" time! We were met by a piano solo.

 Thanksgiving lunch was scrumptious.

We did a "little" crafting after lunch was done and we cleared the tables off.

We left the spare tables up all weekend and crafted and crafted...and crafted.
