Hamburger Packets

L and M made this favorite meal a couple days ago. We used to have these over the fire while camping with Hansels. The girls love making these and they taste great.

Hamburger Packets (Foil Stew)

raw hamburger patties
sliced potatoes
frozen mixed vegetables
salt, pepper, spices as desired
cream soup (chicken or mushroom)
dried or sliced/chopped onions, or package of onion soup mix
foil-2 layers of regular or one of heavy duty

Tear off large pieces of foil for each packet you wish to make. If we have regular foil, we do two layers crossed like a cross. Place a hamburger patty in center of each foil. Add a few sliced potatoes and mixed vegetables. (Amounts of each are up to you!) Sprinke with salt, pepper, spices and dried onion (or add sliced/chopped fresh onion.) Open a can of cream soup and spoon a generous dollop of soup on top of each packet. Sometimes we mix a packet of onion soup mix into the soup before dolloping. It gives you a darker gravy. Fold up sides of foil and roll edges together to seal tightly. Place into a 350 degree oven and bake about an hour. Check for done-ness. Serve.
