Husband's biodiesel reception was at the Hart Senate Office building. It was neat seeing the large, large (note girl at base) Alexander Calder mobile/stabile in the center of the building. I taught a lesson on Calder this year in my art classes, so I was "up" on his history. This was the last sculpture he designed before his death.
The reception was on a higher floor, and the view of the back of the Capitol building at dusk was great. You can see the dome through the window behind Husband, below. And, of course, I had to get a shot of it.
After the reception, we went for a late supper at The Capitol Grille, where we got another glowing view of the capitol building as we stepped out of the cab.
