We made this gift box out of a tissue box. They are making them so pretty these days, it seemed a shame not to use it again. It was easy, cheap and cute.
We had all the materials needed on hand: ribbon, colored card stock, glue, scissors, clear packing tape. I first loosened the sides of the top of the box until we could lift it up. I used the clear packing tape to tape a piece of yellow card stock to the front edge to finish off the lid, cutting and bending to fit. I removed the plastic from aroung the top tissue dispensing opening and glued a blue piece of cardstock inside. Last, we glued two pieces of yellow string to the bottom on each side. This can be used to tie your box closed.
