Sunday Morning Crock Pot Ribs
Sunday dinner was crock pot ribs and our own (and Grandma's) fresh asparagus. Also, fresh sliced sugared strawberries and brown and serve rolls. Slurp!
Sunday Morning Crock Pot Ribs-Easy and Delicious
The day before: Place ribs in crock pot. Pour some apple juice (or water) over them, about 1/2 way up the sides of the ribs. Cook on high 4-5 hours or low 6-8 hours until tender. Cool overnight. Skim fat and most of the juice (now gelled.) Mix bbq sauce.
BBQ sauce
All measurements approximate. Do what looks/tastes right.
1/4 c. dried onion, or 1/2 to 1 onion sliced or diced
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 to 3/4 c. bottled bbq sauce
Stir well. Spoon over ribs. Turn on crock pot and heat until hot, about 4 hours on low or 2 on high, or bake in oven an hour at 350 degrees.
