Wedding Naturals

Our friends' daughter Claudia was married in August, and I got to do the flowers. She wanted simple and natural arrangements using what there was in our yards  and a few "store" blooms to fill in any gaps. The bridesmaid sisters carried simple bouquets of baby's breath and variegated hosta leaves. I used hostas as a green a few years ago when I did an all green wedding, and they are a simple, pretty green that holds up well.

The flower girl had a baby's breath crown and a basket matching the bride's bouquet.
Our friends Ana and Geoff were the proud parents.
This bouquet was on the entry/guestbook table and the book letters were some I made for Claudia and Othman's shower gift.
We used vintage vases (my own) and baby's breath on the tables. The paper flowers were made by the bridal party and the little painted shoes were favors from the groom's family in Morocco. My able assistant, Daughter M., did all 16 table arrangements while I finished bridal bouquets.
Mother-of-the-bride made the wedding cake and the bride made the smaller allergen free cake. Three bright mums beautified the small cake and tied the cakes together with the bridal party colors.

  2. Pretty, pretty flowers! Plus, I am delighted to see your book letters. Did you use jig saw? special book title or just a book in the right color?
